[Prob] Got Issues with connecting GS3 to Kies ?

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Hello, I'm from India and using Galaxy S3 now. My phone (Galaxy S3) fails to recognize on Kies. I'm doing everything correct , but still it is not showing in Kies. Previously it worked for me, but now its not at all. Kies show this error message :- "Unable to connect to GT-I9300.Failed to retrieve device information." I've installed all the drivers successfully. I've updated version of Kies installed. Actually, I imported my contacts and saved it on my laptop. Now, I can open that "contacts.sbp" file only on Kies. Or is there any other way to again import (HowTos)

Eagerly awaiting JB update for my unlocked, stock I9300 (UK BTU). Trying to do things "by the book" and using KIES to check for updates. Yesterday KIES announced that it needed to do some kind of update related to firmware... Now, whenever I try to connect it reports "failed to retrieve device information" and doesn't connect.

Hello Just wondered if anyone could help. I have unrooted Galaxy S3 and have just gone to complete latest update via Kies. All was going smoothly, download to phone was complete, when error came up on PC USB device not recognised. :( Have updated the drivers via Kies but left with phone saying "Downloading Do not turn off target." Worried now about rebooting phone.

I have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy s2 UK unlocked from a friend, the kernel says 3.0.15-i9100xxlp2-cl57619 se.infra@sei-44 #3 which i believe is a beta unstable version of ICS.

Connect to my phone (Galaxy SII) - Kies notifies new firmware is available Firmware upgrade to ICS 4.0.3 worked like a charm..... installed firmware: PDA:LPG / PHONE:LPG / CSC:LPG (TGY) But that upgrade apparently did something bad to Kies.

Until recently when I updated to Kies_2.5.0.12094_28_8 I have had no problems what so ever with my phone or Kies.

(A note, when I plug the phone to my laptop without Kies started, I can browse my phones content.

i want to transfer my sms and contacts to the s3 with kies. After chosing my newly created and not encrypted itunes backup off the iphone in Kies i get always the following error : "The backup information could not be read. Please choose a valid backup file." Latest Kies Version and S3 Firmware Version. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

After updating with XWLSD 4.1.2 JB Stock ROM, I am unable to connect my phone with KIES.

1. Cable is original supplied with the phone 2. I uninstalled and re-installed KIES 3. It is charging in USB mode 4. Have ran KIES troubleshooting, it reinstalled the drivers, but no result 5.

Hi there, I've just wasted the entire afternoon trying to figure out how to backup all of the stuff on my Samsung Galaxy Ace to my PC. A google search came up with Kies, which I successfully downloaded and installed, but whenever I try to connect my phone (it does read it correctly as GT-S5839i), I get a message saying "unable to connect to GT-S5829i.
