I cant print in firefox 3.6 by cups.
Whe i go to file print i see the printers.
The file is send to the wright printer.
I look on internet en found a solution.
Firefox can only print to file.
I had to add
in /etc/gtk-2.0 in the file gtkr.
and restart cups
I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 print server set up hosting out multiple printers to my end users. I would like to change the naming convention for all of the printers hosted on the print server and want this change reflected on the client end.
For example: I have a HP4000 printer named "Cottage" on the print server.
I am running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3. I am using CUPS to print. What i want to do is use a printer class so it will print to the first printer that is turned on. It works fine until the first printer in the class is out of paper. The print job goes to the first printer and waits for more paper to print, but then also prints to the next printer in the class.
So, on the Windows Server page I read the following.
Step 4: Add Network Printers Automatically
Print Management (Printmanagement.msc) can automatically detect all
the printers that are located on the same subnet as the computer on
which you are running Print Management, install the appropriate
printer drivers, set up the queues, and share the printers.
