On our LAN I have one particular machine that seems to be clogging up the spooler/queue every time it prints to one particular printer.
Server 2008 Print Server; Win7 Box.
Every other machine can print to this printer fine. This machine can print to other shared printers fine.
What happens when it prints is the job is spooled and sent to the printer. The job prints.
I have run the following command and getting $fout: Ambiguous.
Code:
set fout = `echo "$fnameLst" | awk '{gsub(/-dc[0-9.]*/,""); print}' | sort -u`
We have a server that takes ~20mins to start up. Some testing was done, and we were able to determine that it is the print spooler service that is causing the slow down. Not enabling it with automatic start up cuts the boot time down to 5mins. I have not been able to find much of anything about the spooler causing a slow boot; everything seems focused on it causing slow printing.
On a Windows 7 64bit workstation, we've got a PDF printer driver set up on the NUL: port. About once a week, the NUL: port just disappears which borks the PDF printing.
We can't find any clues to the cause.
I am new to printing system in ubuntu 12.04.
I have one directory in ~/Desktop/virtualSpooler
I want to configure my printer spooler such that all the files in the ~/Desktop/virtualSpooler should automatically spooled to printer spooler.
My printer is hp-1010.
Printer is working fine with my Linux system.
Thanks.
I am trying to print from Aix 6.1 using a remote queue to a Brother 7360N
All in one, I can see the printer, but only output is blank pages.
All right, this is driving me nuts.
I have an HP Color LaserJet cm1312nfi connected to the ethernet jack on a D-Link DPR-1260 wireless usb print server - so the print server acts as a wireless bridge. I can't get any Ubuntu box to print to the LaserJet. Windows XP and Vista laptops on the network print to it just fine.
Hi
I moved a mediawiki site to my own server. It is working fine, except that I cannot get mail to work. The mediawiki sould send mail when people register to the wiki, or when they want to reset their password. On the previous server this all worked fine.
I am not very familiar with installations like this. I've never done this before.
I have Windows 2008 R2 RDS (Terminal Server) hosting application using remoteapp.
