Printer keeps on printing same job, onch it has taken a long time to start. I thought it might be a printer/spooler problem. LaserJet 3330. tried with Kubuntu 12.04, 13.04, 13.10.
I am new to printing system in ubuntu 12.04.
I have one directory in ~/Desktop/virtualSpooler
I want to configure my printer spooler such that all the files in the ~/Desktop/virtualSpooler should automatically spooled to printer spooler.
My printer is hp-1010.
Printer is working fine with my Linux system.
I am running F17, 3.6.9-2.fc17.i686.PAE and having problem to get my network printer to work. I installed the printer under Application>others>printing, it seems detect my printer over network and allow my to finish the process with correct printer path.
A friend of mine needs to print an 180 page PDF using a basic HP laser printer. Halfway through the printing process the printer starts printing blanks. What could be issue? The friend is thinking that the printer runs out of ram for larger PDFs. Could something else be the issue. We tried updating to the latest printer driver, but that didn't help.
I have a HP LaserJet 3330 that is hooked up to my Windows XP computer and my XP computer is networked to my laptop which has Crunchbang installed on it. My windows network shows up on crunchbang. I also set the printer for sharing on XP. I am having problems setting up the printer through the network. Crunchbang has the HP 3330 driver, but im not sure what to use as the path for the printer.
I'm running Kubuntu 13.10 and recently I've been having a constellation of new printer-related problems. My printer is an HP LaserJet 5 -- old but reliable, and augmented with a network interface. The furnished drivers, whether Foomatic or Gutenprint, don't understand the duplexing features, so I had been using an older PPD.
I added a network printer to my network by the RedHat Enterprise workstation 6 linux GUI. It seemed that the printer setting did find the network printer. However, whenever I tried to print, the job didn't go through.
I have an old but still reliable HP LaserJet 5 with a duplexing unit and the Postscript option. Until several months ago it was working just fine under Kubuntu. But at some point, which I can't pin down, the drivers no longer seemed able to handle the options. The printer does still work, however. I'm running Kubuntu Natty, fully updated.
