Hi all,I have a Canon MP600 printer/scanner connected via USB to a small print- and scan-server running Arch (last update was yesterday). The printer is shared over the network and can be accessed from a Windows 7 client. But from time to time after 1-2 prints the printer crashes. I that happens, only a power disconnect can bring it back.
Hi Everyone,I have a huge problem and I have problems to solve it :S...I've been used to install cups and hplip for my printer, then start cups (rc.d start cups) and go to the cups page at localhost, add printer.... But today, when I tried to print a file he fails saying ""/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoraster failed"...
I do not have a solution to your problem but I would suggest to point a browser to 127.0.0.1:631 and configure CUPS from that. You will inteact directly with CUPS and it is better for debugging. Now can you see your printer from there?
Hey,
I have an Epson Stylus Photo PX710W. It worked fine in opensuse 11.2, but I've now done a fresh install of opensuse 11.3 and I can't get the printer to work. I set it up as for 11.2, so I'm sure it should just work.
CUPS job page says:
stopped
"/opt/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/cups/lib/filter/epson-escpr-wrapper failed"
Guys, just setup my printer using CUPs and gutenprint v5.2.9..everything runs smoothly, except that the printer prints document, image, or anything very very slow..compared to that, i'm using my printer on windows, and it prints fast (standard)..is there any way to make printer prints fast??
FC16 64 bit. Have installed Brother HL2070 printer on 32 bit fedora14 no problem. I add a network printer via IP; it finds it and the queue. It says ipp and cups, I click forward (I can't find a printer driver at brother/linux), so I do generic postscript, point it to file in /usr/share/cups/model CUPS-PDF.PPD. It installs and seems happy and prints.... but it prints multiple blank pages.
I am trying to print (over Wi-Fi) to an HP Photosmart D110 printer (which is successfully recognized by CUPS). But I only get a sheet with the error message Unable to open the initial device, quitting. And in the CUPS interface it says Filter failed.
At home I have an HP Photosmart C3100 that works correctly over USB, so I think CUPS is not the problem.
Hi everyone,
I tried to install a new printer via the Printer Configuration GUI, but I always got an error message from CUPS saying "There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'cups-authorization-canceled'." I did a little bit of research on that but couldn't figure out how to solve the problem (yes, CUPS is running), so I installed the printer via the http://127.0.0.1:631/ and it
I installed fedora 11 on this machine about 3 weeks ago. My printer, an HP Photosmart C4200, worked fine out of the box.
But I discover today that I cannot print anything. Not even a test page using CUPS (http://localhost:631/printers/). If I try to print something, it sits in the queue, but does not get printed.
