I am running F17, 3.6.9-2.fc17.i686.PAE and having problem to get my network printer to work. I installed the printer under Application>others>printing, it seems detect my printer over network and allow my to finish the process with correct printer path.

Sorry, my question was ill formulated or incomplete (I edited the first post and title accordingly). I want to access thru system-config-printer gui the printer settings configuration and not by CUPS. How can I reinstall the crunchbang printer pack based on system-config-printer package.Thanks.

I've finally gotten my printer configured correctly in Kubuntu 13.10, but it was a mighty struggle. The printer is an ancient but quite serviceable HP LaserJet 5M with PostScript and a duplexer.
