I finally got my old HP G55 printer working.
Hi all,
I am running F17, 3.6.9-2.fc17.i686.PAE and having problem to get my network printer to work. I installed the printer under Application>others>printing, it seems detect my printer over network and allow my to finish the process with correct printer path.
I had initially configured a printer and the printer device stopped working so I removed it and reconfigured the printer incorrectly.
Hi everyone,
I tried to install a new printer via the Printer Configuration GUI, but I always got an error message from CUPS saying "There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'cups-authorization-canceled'." I did a little bit of research on that but couldn't figure out how to solve the problem (yes, CUPS is running), so I installed the printer via the http://127.0.0.1:631/ and it
Any ideas will be helpful.
My home network printer configuration dissapears periodically.
I am using Fedora 16, fresh install after using F13 for 2 years - no printer issues.
I have a number of my company's printers defined [5] using a custom interface to CUPS, and these were installed and their configuration remain.
Sorry, my question was ill formulated or incomplete (I edited the first post and title accordingly). I want to access thru system-config-printer gui the printer settings configuration and not by CUPS. How can I reinstall the crunchbang printer pack based on system-config-printer package.Thanks.
I have Fedora 17, KDE. I open Printer Configuration and choose New Printer. I a CUPS server error, "There was an error during the CUPS operation: ' cups-authorization-canceled'. The printer is plugged in.
I previously added a Photosmart-C2400 sucessfully.
Hi, I can't configure my printer, which is run on a wireless network. The message I get when using Systems Settings/Printer Configuration is that printer configuration doesn't provide an interface KC Module. It says possible reasons are an error during last KDE upgrade or old third party modules lying around. Any suggestions what I should do to correct this?
I have a Canon Pixma MP150. It's old but it still works well.
The problem is that since I have been running Ubuntu the printer exhibits odd behavoir. Usually right at the end of a job, it will stop. The printing is done, but the printer is still "working" and it won't release the paper.
