I am using a PowerBook G4 1,67 15" with Lubuntu 13.04: All updates are done regular with SoftwareUpdater.
After disconnecting the power supply the PowerBook does not recognize it is working in battery mode.
Searching the forum does not deliver a solution.
Best wishes from Germany,
Hi, I'm a bit new to Linux and forums in general; but here's my predicament.
I have a 15" G4 Powerbook, 1.33 GHz, standard issue, and I've been trying to put Gentoo on it. Whenever I pop in either the PPC Minimal CD or the PPC Universal CD, I hit return to boot the kernel, and the same error comes up:
Invalid memory access at SRR0: 014072e0 SRR1: 00803030
Ubuntu 12.04 32bit on toshiba laptop connection ethernet
Powerbook g4 powerpc dual booting mac osx 10.5.8 and Debian wheezy KDE
I know that the server is working just fine because when booted into mac osx on the powerbook I am able to connect to the ubuntu server very easily.
When I reboot into debian kde and try to connect using dolphin, I go to "samba shares -->
I have XFCE Debian on an old PowerPC PowerBook G4. When I go to open Synaptic Package Manager, a window pops up asking for my administrative password. I enter the password I normally use for sudo in Terminal, but it doesn't work. I enter nothing, but it doesn't work. I try various other ones - like 'debian', 'synaptic' and 'password', but that doesn't work either. Why doesn't it work?
