Hi - May be somebody out there in this forum, can point me in the right direction. I am an instructor who relies heavily in power point presentation in my classes. I intend to do the design work in my laptop at home, and move it to the Galaxy Note 10.1 which is lighter and less bulky than my laptop. I have purchased a micro usb cable to vga to connect to a projector with a vga port.
Whenever I open a power point slide in ubuntu 12.04 it opens correctly in libre office but in addition to the libre office's app for slides another invisible icon appears for each presentation I open. It is visually very distracting. When I have the mouse over the icon it says something like "binary star office importer" or something like that.
So I have been using my Tprime for about two weeks now and I love it! What I really want to do with it is run a powerpoint slide show from my tablet and have it project through my NEC-m300x projector wirelessly. My question then is, can I purchase some sort of DLNA USB dongle for the projector and "beam" my presentation straight to the projector?
Hey everyone, I tried doing a search and couldn't find anything on this in the forums. I was wondering if anyone knew of an app for viewing a powerpoint presentation where it allows you to add side notes? I am a student and all of our lectures are done through powerpoints which they provide for us.
halllo all......
i have little trouble with my ubuntu...
i have install ubuntu jaunty, with my laptop with spec like this:

I'm creating an exhibit for a museum in which I need to launch a PowerPoint presentation from the app and control the presentation with a presenter remote which acts as a keyboard.
I've got several pieces of this puzzle solved, but I need to be able to exit the presentation from the remote.
There are no problems to make them work together, however, only one resolution can be set.My laptop has a resolution of 1280X800, when I set the resolution to fit laptop screen, the image shrinked on the projector, if I set it as 1024X768, projector can work ok (though still a little bit deformed), but the laptop screen image became 1024X768, either.I googled a lot, it seems no way to set resoluti
I have an upcoming presentation I want to make in LibreOffice Impress on my Ubuntu 12.10 laptop.
I would love to move ~ 15 gb of music off of my laptop onto my Galaxy Note 2 before my next trip.
I watched the video in the sticky section, and eagerly ordered one of these:
