so my power button stopped working on my LG intuition...it wouldnt turn the screen on or off, and it wouldnt power the device off...next thing I know, I was out at the bar and my phone died...I charged it up and NOPE...power button wouldnt power it back on either!!!
My power button is broken but I'm not sure it's the power button because I somewhat opened it there is a stripped screw so the volume side doesn't come off. When i put a battery in it turns on automatically and i even removed the power button from the motherboard little power button & tried pressing that power button
The power button on my Optimus V has completely stopped working. I ordered a new phone to replace it.
But how can I wipe my Optimus V?
I can't boot into recovery to wipe data/factory reset because the power button no longer works. I can't even reboot or power on/off the phone.
I can't pull the battery because I'll have no way to turn the phone back on.:(
My nexus s is giving me trouble. While phone is on, keeps waking and sleeping on its own randomly like the power button is being pressed.
If i try to press the power button myself to put it to sleep sometimes it brings up the power off menu instead (as if I've held it), and the rest of the time it does nothing.
OK first of all, if you can fix this you are a GENIUS!
Basically, my power button stopped working today. The phone DID work fine and the screen turned on via plugging in the charger etc as it 'jumps' it.
Unfortunately water splashed inside my bookbag where my Samsung galaxy nexus was stored. I didn't pull the battery out in time and although I waited a while to put the battery back in, when I did, the power button doesn't do anything to turn the phone back on. I sent it back to samsung for warranty repair and they sent it back with a "Beyond Economical Repair" notice .
Anyone had similar issues?
Over three weeks in, I am still blown away by this phone as I am finding new features everyday BUT I am also having difficulties with my power button. As I read in the Sprint forum, some time ago, it was noticed that the power button seemed loose, 'rocky' on a pivot. Other Note II demo phones had some flexibility with the power button as well.
I have a (seemingly rather exotic) Dell Latitude XT2 notebook running Lubuntu 12.04, fresh install.
Tried to get the power button to work as expected (opening lubuntu-logout, just as I think it was meant to be out-of-the box), but no success: power button does nothing but forced power-off on long press.
Here some more information, please ask if something more could help:
Power button is recogni
my htc amaze has a broken power button and would flash on and off unless i take out the battery. the power button is gone, but the power sensor is still there. the phone will stay on if i push on the power sensor correctly.
