This may be a silly, dumb question. But I want to know the reason why my Galaxy S4 (i9500) got lower benchmark score than the average. I use AnTuTu Benchmark and AnTuTu Benchmark X Editor. The first app I got 26075, the second app I got 23965.
An AnTuTu benchmark score was recently discovered for a new chip that Mediatek is working on. The MT6592 is an octa-core processor running eight Cortex A7 chips. Each of the A7 chips can run up at up to 2GHz, though for the AnTuTu tests they were only pushed to 1.7 GHz. Sources indicate Mediatek has done some optimization on the ARM chips to improve their power efficiency.
HTC may not be the only Android smartphone manufacturer looking at a mid-year update of their flagship device to take advantage of Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 800 processor if a recently discovered AnTuTu benchmark scored is to be believed.
