I tried setting Foxit reader for Windows as my default pdf viewer in ubuntu 11.10. When I try double-clicking a pdf file in Nautilus I get a file not found error. I can open foxit and drag a file onto the foxit window but I would like to be able simply to double-click a file like all other programs.

My e-book reader is EZ-PDF Reader and the books I read with it are PDF Scanned. This is the best reader I could find after several trials, but unfortunately, unlike EPUB e-readers where I can change the background color or texture, the background of the PDF page is a bluish hue which I cannot change. Not even with the latest version 22.214.171.124.
