I am using ubuntu gnome remix 12.10 with ATI mobility radeon HD 4300 graphics card. Software sources do not show any additional drivers. How do I install the graphics drivers for my system?

Hi there! The ati graphics-card i have installet in my laptop is HD 5470.
I have installed the drivers both from the repositories AND from System Settings -> Additional Drivers -> ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver. I can locate the Catalyst Control Center, but i cannot open it.
Good day,
I have installed ubuntu 12.04 with xfce environment on this toshiba l300 with intel mobile 4 integrated graphics.
with windows and without drivers, the fan is always on and the video performance is poor.
I have a laptop with ATI Radeon 6770M HD Hybrid graphics card. In Ubuntu 12.04, I installed the fglrx driver through "additional drivers" and it worked. (I can even switch GPUs). But in the new Ubuntu 12.10, after installing, Unity won't load.
Only the mouse and the wallpaper.
How do I use the proprietary graphics for my nvidia card?
I use KDE, and I've installed both kmod-nvidia and akmod-nvidia, and when I went to activate the special affects I ran into problems. I had to use Xrender for it to work at all (and that just went really slow) whereas OpenGL just made my screen go black, with a mouse and window borders if I alt+tabbed.
In Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal), there is no additional drivers section in system settings, in fact, it has moved to a new tab in software sources.
i just installed ubuntu day ago and im total newb in this system.
I have a system with switchable graphics: an ATI Radeon HD 6770M, and an Intel HD 3000. I installed the driver from additional-drivers. The Post Release Updates one was unable to be installed, so I simply installed the other one.
Everything works fine with the AMD card.
The problem is when I switch to the Intel card to get more battery life, I have to use Gnome classic or Unity 2D.
