I unlocked my phone, rooted it and installed Fish n Chips ROM.
My phone seems to have very poor battery life. I fully charged it to 100%, unplugged it, played a game for a very short while and I lost 10% battery withint 10-15 mins.
The battery just seems like a time bomb that doesn't last very long at all.
I've only had the phone 2 days now...
I got my phone nine months or so ago, and the battery life started out fine. I could go eight hours or so of constant use, but now it hardly works. I'm lucky if my phone will stay on for thirty minutes. Once it hits fifty percent, my phone immediately shuts off. I've tried turning off my data, keeping the brightness down, and anything else that worked on my previous Android.
I've seen lots of battery life forums, and most of them show great battery life (over 12 hours) with lots of screen time. I'm not even in an LTE area, but I get very good signal. My screen brightness is at about 30% and I have two e-mail accounts (Exchange push and Gmail sync).
After updating my LG Thrive to 4.04 from 2.35 I have seen horrible battery life.
Although I had already done a factory reset I decided to try removing the battery to see if that would help.
Over the last week my phone totally took a crap in the battery life dept. In 16 mins with just 3G, I unplugged the phone at 5am this morning, put it in my pocket and get to work my battery is down to 86 percent? I have the extended battery and I didnt use phone..... here are some screenshots.
First, here's the constants: I keep wifi/BT/GPS on 100% of the time. This was true when battery life was good, and now that battery life is bad. Disabling these will improve battery life, but will not fix my problem.
When the phone is sleeping overnight, I used to get 8-12% battery usage over about 8 hours.

Folks --
I am a happy Android user and have an HTC Desire Z. A family member has a basic Nokia texting phone (Nokia C3) and I would like to get her an Android phone so that she can have her Google e-mail and calendar on-the-go. I will buy the phone second-hand / unlocked.
Hi, I have a htc Wildfire S mobile running 2.3.5 and it's non rooted.
