Hi all,
At first, I liked the fact that I could power on my Note with the Home button. But now it's getting annoying! Half the time I grab my phone, whether it's out of my pocket or whatever, I end up hitting the home button and turning it on.
Any way to disable this feature?

periodically I can't get my phone to charge, i finally got it to charge after lots of messing around yesterday. and since then its been going in and out of this wierd screen. Whenever I'm in an app a blue screen with only a few icons and the time shows up when I hit "home". It also turns on this screen in my pocket. Only way to get out is hit (x) and use the back button in the app.
When my phone's lying flat on a table, it's easier to turn it on by pressing the home button rather than position my hand to squeeze the power button. When I'd switch on my Note 1, S2, and S3 this way, they'd wake up to the last used app screen, which is not necessarily a home screen. The Note 2, however, always returns to the main home screen.
Is it possible to have the screen stay on until I manually press the power button while unlocked, but sleep after a set time while locked?
For example if I just press the power button and check the time, or it is accidentally pressed in my pocket, the screen will automatically turn off soon. However, if I wake up and unlock my phone, the screen will stay on until I press the button.
I've been using Hardy Heron for a few months on a third-hand Compaq Presario S3200NX with the original monitor with few problems. I was recently given a new-to-me flatscreen (Gateway 900W, mfg June 2006) for use instead and attempted to install it with no luck.

I found that when I left my phone in my pants pocket, it started getting warm. I took it out and see that the screen was on. I have the Midnight rom, screen was locked, and I didn't set up swipe2wake. Why would this happen?

i got a new htc hero after my old one broke, and this one was fine for awhile but now it wont turn off when i hold the power button down. it just turns off the screen no matter how long i hold it. i tried deleting any apps that could be a problem but still nothing. the only way to turn it off is to take the battery out and put it back in, but it turns on with the power button. help?
Well I'm in trouble, my Pocket EDGE was turned off, I plugged a pendrive on the USB slot and turned it on, then after a few minutes I realized that it wasn't starting the OS, it was loading the Pocket EDGE Screen again and again, the only way to stop it was to use the reset button.
I'm not sure if the problem was to turn on the device with the USB plugged, is the first time that the device has
...i mean, that's what the power button is for, right?
the button takes you to your home screen... that's a good thing.
but when it runs your battery down because it wakes up your screen periodically because it's in your pocket, that's not a good thing.
