I'm running a CentOS 6.3 virtual machine on Windows Azure using Plesk Panel 11. The default domain running the server works fine (it is only used for Plesk).
I need to move my website from DV 3.5 to DV 4.0 server with Media Temple.
I have a shared hosting package with 5 domains and I want to migrate my sites from a plesk 8.6 windows server to a plesk 10.3 windows server at the same hosting.
Hosting provider said that automated migration tool fails, so I have to do the migration manually.
So, I wanted to create a backup from every site and then convert them to version 10 and then restore them to new server.
Hello,
i testing to migrate Accounts from Plesk 11 to cPanel (latest)
But i found this error/mistakes:
1.
Cpanel creates a subdomain: httpdocs.*porteddomain.com*
with document root: /public_html/*www.porteddomain.com*
why needed?plesk uses httpdocs as document-root directory (in cpanel is this public_html !)
and the migrationtool duplicates the content of user in this new created folders:
/publ
I built a static site, then decided to make it a Wordpress site. I used PLESK's complimentary Wordpress install instead of doing it myself, but I don't know if that's even relevant in this discussion.
I have a server (Linux Centos 6) where Plesk was installed and running correctly (except for the mail server which wasn't working for some reason).
Wanting to replace the default mail server (postfix) for sendmail, I ran the following command:
yum remove postfix
For some reason, it also removed all the dependencies:
git perl-Git plesk-core plesk-l10n plesk-mail-pc-driver pp-sitebuilder psa ps
How to turn off open_basedir in Plesk?
By default Plesk applies open_basedir restriction for all the domains on the server.
I have a domain (e.g. mytakeaway.com) on a Plesk 9.5 Linux server. It's got a site associated with it currently.
I'm using a 3rd party ordering system (to be housed within an iframe), which I need to supply a domain for. I want to use ordering.mytakeaway.com for this. I've been given the nameservers (e.g.
I have an Ubuntu server running Plesk.
After the server updated itself, I can no longer get new domains to work. They can be created and I can add DNS records, but visiting the url just brings me to the default folder on the web server and not to the folder specified.
What went wrong? I appreciate any help in pointing me in the right direction here.
