I am trying to stream my camera feed to an RTSP server. I am following this link. However, I do not want to use the Wowza server as mentioned in the link. I need an open source RTSP server that can stream data to a given URL for eg, (rtsp://some-ip-address:8554/live).
I have tried searching for Darwin and Live555 server but none of them can be used with Android.
I have a few IP cameras that refuse to be seen over HTTP without ActiveX but work great over RTSP. So I figured easiest would be to use an HTTP server and create a web page with outputs from these cameras. Can anybody suggest good tutorials?

Just to pick your brains quickly, is there a currently maintained and simple to use RTSP server available currently? Myself and a colleague are working on a project that involves streaming video to an android device. We have to use the RTSP protocol but I cannot seem to find a simple example.
