The thread http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=282147, which I don't know how to answer, brings up the question of how "the" keyboard and "the" mouse are determined when a system has more than one keyboard and mouse attached to it.
Hello,
I am quite experienced in installing openSUSE.
(I used it for many years.)
But the problem showed below tricks me out.
I just tried to install openSUSE 11.2.
In initmode 3 the keyboard works well.
Everything worked well up to the moment I started runlevel 5.
In XWindows Modus, the keyboard and the mouse are disabled.
My mouse is not working properly, So I enabled keyboard keys for Moving mouse arrow using
Universal Access > Pointing and Clicking > Mouse keys "On"
But Mouse Arrow moves very Slow using keyboard Keys. I want to move it in normal way as I move mouse, using keyboard keys(Numlock keys 2,4,6,8). How to solve this ?
Hi,I don't use fluxbox and I don't know if it determines something. But you can use xmodmap to remap keys and combinations. With xev you can press the keys and know the keycode to use for xmodmapE.g.xmodmap -e 'keycode 56 = Control_L'
xmodmap -e 'keycode 64 = AudioUp'

I'm using the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 keyboard with Fedora 18.
Whenever I press the Caps Lock key or the Num Lock key, Fedora stops receiving input from either the keyboard or my mouse.
It does not appear that Fedora is actually frozen, since the cursor continues to blink in certain programs.
Found at a thrift store in almost new condition.....for US .99 cents. I like the tactile feel of it's keys, so for now I'm making it my "for daily use" keyboard.
I was so curious so i bought these small peripherals. And it worked!
MicroUSB 4-in-1 connection kit (it has USB port, microSD, SD, MicroUSB for powering external drives) = $14
+ Logitech wireless keyboard with mouse trackpad. $22. (I was pleasantly surprised by this keyboard. Everything works. Home, Music and Screen lock shortcuts. Music controls on the F-keys work too.
I've started getting into the keyboard mapping configs to correct some buttons that aren't mapped right. Nothing major, but annoying when function keys don't work. I have a Fn key that is supposed to control a few things like volume, brightness, open the CD tray, etc. When I do xev the Fn+whatever shows that it is mapped correctly, but the key combo doesn't work.
In resume, can't press more than 3 keys on the keyboard for combination, something happens and some keys stop responding (if already pressed), mouse gives more than one click (like 7 clicks at time) at pressing any mouse's buttons, and finally, my game joystick is also controlling the cursor which is the oddest part. can i ask for help?
