http://forum.xda-developers.com – hey everyone, i am new here.. i have recently bought a samsung galaxy s3 GT-i9300 and i've used and installed several apps on it and after some time i've come through several apps that needs root in order to run.. so i think its time to learn how to root it incase i wanna try it soon.. after doing some searching i found out this, i will summarize , 1st, shutdown and reboot using download mode 2nd, after ur in download mode, conect usb and open odin 3rd, in Odin , choose PDA and put the .tar file which by searching i downloaded a "CF-Root-SGS3-v6.3.tar" (Please recomend if this is (HowTos)

hey guys,

so i did root for the first time for myself on my S3 LTE GT-i9305.. so i follow all the common step properly as shown in Youtube channels.. like enable USB Debugging, on Odin mode, plug in to comp, extracts the folders of Odin app and Root file, open source Root file on PDA tab, check on Auto Reboot n F.

The guide on XMD has me confused. All I (ever) want is to run root-only apps off of Google Play. No custom ROMs, or anything like that.

i think i have done something really serious with my samsung galaxy s2 andriod 4.0.4 ,

it was locked on T-mobile and i was trying to unlock it, i was told i have to first root the hand set,

while i was trying to Root , i installed kies, odin and i was looking for cf root file for bvlch as far as i remember, i think i rooted with the wrong file even though the kernel was passed on

I just successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Odin and CWM Recovery.

This is exactly what I did:

- D/L Odin 3.04 and "cwm6-root-note2.tar" and saved them to my Desktop

- Extracted Odin and started the program

- Set my Note 2 to USB Debugging

- Restarted the Note 2 in "Downloading Mode" by holding down Volume Down, Home & Power buttons simultaneous

Stuck in Download mode 32 weeks 3 days ago

Hi guys. my samsung galaxy sgh-i777 wont start up. i can only get into download mood but cannot get into recovery mode. i downloaded odin 1.85 and downloaded the stock firmware for my phone. when i start running odin in stalls on "setup connection" then fails. is there any way around this? can someone help please! Thanks!
