I researched this online and installed PlayOnLinux with no problems, however I want to install a program that is not listed in the PlayOnLinux set of available programs. I have the .exe file in my downloads folder so I want to install it from there.

You might encounter problem with your games" I'm running Ubuntu 14.04LTS 64bit, is there a way to install this so Playonlinux will run properly? I installed Playonlinux to use/install iTunes for my iPhone. Thanks in advance.
So I have some games I bought on gog.com that I want to load on PlayOnLinux for install. The problem is the program won't accept the gog.com installers that you get. Is it possible to get them to work with PlayOnLinux, or should I just use wine on the installers?
I tried looking this up on the gog.com forums, found one thread that talks about writing a script for it.
This simple tutorial will explain how to install Windows Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 on Ubuntu using PlayOnLinux.
1. Install PlayOnLinux.
PlayOnLinux is a front-end for wine. It can be installed via Ubuntu Software Center.
PlayOnLinux installs the applications in separate virtual drives. Each virtual drive represents a different windows machine. I have configured PlayOnLinux on my laptop and installed several programs in it.
These programs go in the hidden .PlayOnLinux directory in home.
