Samsung previously announced a slew of new colors for its flagship Galaxy S III handset, but today the company is introducing a slightly less conservative hue. Beginning next week, customers will be able to pick up a Galaxy S III in pink. Initially, the handset will only be available in Korea, though its expected that the device will see a regional roll out in the near future.
We knew there was a sexy new color on the way for the Galaxy S III smartphone, but now Samsung has made it officially official. Samsung has officially launched the limited-edition “Martian Pink” color variation of the Galaxy S III– it only plans on making just 100,000 units available for the general public.
As we reported earlier, an upgraded version of the Sony Xperia S appears to be on the way. Sources indicate the device, an LT26ii listed as a Sony Xperia SL, will run on an overclocked 1.7GHz Snapdragon S3 chip. The image that has surfaced shows the device in pink and in blue/violet. This is the second pink Xperia that has been spotted this week.
It looks like consumers in Taiwan interested in grabbing a pink HTC Butterfly will get that opportunity according to Taiwanese website ePrice. Their site is reporting today that HTC is making a pink cherry powder colored HTC Butterfly available on April 30th. According to the site, pre-orders are now being accepted at both Yahoo! and PCHome.
We already heard that Samsung would be releasing more colors for the Galaxy S III. The Garnet Red version is now available exclusively at Carphone Warehouse in the UK and is available at the same price as other colors and on all the carriers that Carphone Warehouse serves.
