I want to add the Sub Domain to a working Domain so it becomes test.domain.co.uk.
From Cpanel, I have set up the Sub Domain and it created the folder /public_html/test
I set up an DNS A record for test.domain.co.uk as well, although I am not sure if this is needed?
Viewing "http://www.domain.co.uk/test" works, but "test.domain.co.uk" results in the error

We recently bought a wildcard certificate and installed it for a domain. It works fine for the main domain but seems to not work at all for any sub domains.
Whats happening is we can access the sub domains fine on HTTP, but whenever we try HTTPS for the same sub domain url we are redirected back to the main domain.
This is a bit of a weird one. I'm running ubuntu on a Windows domain. If I type "ping server" I can ping correctly and I can connect without any problems. It looks up my search domain (domain.local) and everything is hunky dory.
Problem is when I try to ping server.domain.local.
I have a Wildcard SSL installed on my Apache server.
I'm moving code from a server that served a single domain to one that serves multiple domains. I'm using named virtual hosts to handle the different domains.
I'm testing a new server and have been playing with /etc/hosts.
I have been able to get it working on just domain.com, but if I try www.domain.com it points to where the actual domain is currently delegated, not the testing server.
ie
xxx.xx.xx.xx domain.com
If I load domain.com, I get the ip address I enter.
I have a server with two domains. I get the warning as mentioned in the title:
do not list domain example.com in BOTH mydestination and virtual_alias
Although I receive the above warning, it works just fine without problems.
I have a fresh VPS installation from my provider (Windows 2008 R2, IIS 7.5).
The default web site works fine: http://5.9.251.167/
I created a new website, and binding for http://new.ianquigley.com
On that server and everywhere else that Domain maps to the IP address.
I believe I posted this in the right area.
