I'm currently developing a web application to handle directories and files permissions. I'm building it using Struts 2 and using Ganymed-SSH2 (version 262) to establish SSH connections to servers for listing directories and run chmod.
My problem occurs when I run a ls command to list a certain directory which I do not have permission (for example permissions 000).
Right after I rooted my phone, (Droid Razr Maxx HD) I was constantly getting the "shell allowed su permissions" notification and it was a nuisance. I thought a quick fix would be to deny the shell superuser permissions. I was unaware of what I was denying, and am now unable to allow new apps su permissions.
how can i set 775 permission for all newly created files and folders.
when i give chmod -R 775 /data permission is getting to all files and folders. but when i create a folder i wont get that permission. i want this 755 permission should be permanent for all old and newly create files
When you start messing about with custom ROMs, apps and whatnot, you come across setting permissions. It's usually the r-shaped one, but sometimes not. Can I just give (whatever) full/all permissions (clicking all the boxes)?
