OpenOffice offers a selection of preconfigured formats for users who need to print their own self-adhesive labels. Perl feeds the address data to the document.
OpenOffice can't read the documents and spreadsheets from my NAS. When I double click on such a document openOffice starts loading but it hags before the application opens.
However, when I copy the same document from the NAS to my local disk. Then openOffice open the document without problems (proof that the document is not corrupted).
First off, I googled and found my exact same issue reported on a Kubuntu. I have since reported the issue to Openoffice.org. I went to bugzilla to report to Novell, but they want way to much personal information and too time consumming.
I have a 2 computers, a laptop and a desktop, both Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
A couple weeks back, I tried to open up a word document on the desktop, and it asked me what program I wanted to use, and I looked for OpenOffice and it wasn't there. So I went into the main menu and all my OpenOffice programs were gone!
I'm using 12.04 LTS and have the printer installed and have been using it but it only prints first 3 labels then stops. I'm printing a PDF file and have tried this in several PDF viewers (including built in Document Viewer, Adobe Reader, etc.) I don't know if it's a java issue or what.
