I am working on c++ files managed by perforce.
When I did integration, I made some mistakes so that others' changes also become my change.
Now, I need to reverse this by doing integration. But, perforce cannot find the differences of ny changes and others changes.
But, I do not want to do it manually , I would like to ask perforce to do it in p4v (a perforce GUI).
It’s no surprise that the pace of technological innovation in the startup and web development world greatly eclipses the pace of technology adoption at most enterprise organizations. Enterprises are generally slow, risk averse, and demand long-term support for products in which they invest. Startups, web development shops, and open source enthusiasts move at a significantly faster pace.
Git, the open source revision control system, is already massively popular among developers. But Perforce, which focuses on software management solutions in both the open source and proprietary worlds, thinks Git can be even better.
Perforce Software and Assembla announce the availability of an on demand version of Perforce Software Version Management that is integrated with team tools from Assembla.

I work in a big multinational company as a software engineer and I'm currently holding a very nice conversation with IT and other developers with regards to adopting a DVCS (Mercurial and/or Git).
One of the issues raised by IT was compliance and intellectual property (BTW, Perforce talks loudly about this and in relation to Git).
Should companies that produce mostly proprietary software invest in Linux development? In one sense, that seems as illogical as the artisanal-organic bread guy from the local farmers’ market buying shares in Wonder Bread.
I am using perforce on Linux.
When I did submission, I found that the comment about the status of the submitted file is marked by "edit".
//depot/common/mySpace/branches/mySpace___home_user_mySpace_project_level/myfile.cxx # edit
But, sometimes, it is marked by "integrate".
How to make it "integrate" ? Are there any benefits of doing this ?
Any help will be appreciated.
