AT&T announced this morning that they have entered into a deal to acquire the Alltel wireless network currently owned by Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. AT&T will pay cash to acquire the wireless properties, licenses, network assets, retail stores, and roughly 585,000 Alltel subscribers.
Im chasing a roaming issue I encountered yesterday traveling from Nebraska to Denver. I got an international data usage alert, I accepted to use data and had to switch the phone from global mode to lte/cdma to keep it from dropping to 1x constantly. My current PRL is 14014 with an Alltel national plan on Verizon.
I'm hoping someone can help me understand what I'm seeing on Verizon's website for data usage.
First, a pinch of background. My wife and I were Alltel customers that ended up on V when they purchased Alltel. We are still on our old Alltel plan for voice & text, but both have upgraded to smartphones and added data.
I cannot receive the same text message (yes, no, ok, good morning, etc.) more than once from the same person without deleting their entire thread. My husband, daughter, and I all have the Motorola Razr Maxx HD and we all have the same issue. We also had this same issue with our old Motorola Milestone Xs.
Hello all I have the galaxy s2 SCH-R760X which is alltel. I flashed a rom from here but realized it was virgin mobile. is there anywhere I can find a rom for this alltel galaxy s2? I have search everywhere but with no luck thanks in advance.
So to start off I've got an s3 through the dreaded ALLTEL... I know there's hardly anything for it so ya.. I flashed cwm through Odin and installed supersu and quickly found out I had to go through Knox.. I went and ran the de-samsungnizer script to remove Knox so no more Samsung firewall crap..
I've scoured the internet for about a month now and I'm getting desperate. I'm with alltel. I got them to enter the ESN of the EVO into the database and activate the phone. Calls and SMS work perfectly. I have rooted the phone and have a custom sense-based rom. I still can't manage to get data functioning properly on the phone, not matter what settings I enter into the EPST menu or using QPST.
Those of you in the market looking for a modest phone on a modest wireless carrier may want to pay attention right now. Alltel Wireless has launched the Alcatel One Touch Ultra 960C that is now available both in retail stores and online.
