ok so I went ahead and connected my Samsung galaxy s3 to my computer via usb to transfer pictures and I was uber-disappointed to see that my computer did not detect the phone as a usb mass storage device.
so I've searched the web and had the misfortune to discover that apparently it's not possible to connect the galaxy usb mass storage device like a usb stick which most people have these days
Sorry - I don't see any other thread specifically about this. I just bought an infinity tablet with docking station, and am really enjoying it so far. However, I'd like very much to be able to connect my Samsung Droid Charge phone to it via USB to transfer files, etc., but when I plug it in the tablet won't recognize the mass storage.
I have an samsung galaxy mini s5570 with cm7 .
This has started happening from yesterday . When I connect my phone to the computer , it charges but the usb mass storage doesn't comes up . Instead a message pops up on my pc saying that " Windows can't recognize the usb device " .
Hello! I have a problem.
Not long ago I became an owner of a Samsung Galaxy Mini 2. I transferred my 4gb Micro SD card into it, the things on it are accessible just fine, but. When trying to mount the device as mass storage in Linux, it does not work.
Okay. I am having problems with my usb storage. When i connect my phone to my computer via usb it pulls up as a disk drive right. I recently had a Rom that used "Usb mass storage" to connect as disk drive which gave me a higher level of access. I put the rom zip that i am using now on the root of my sd card using the "USB mass storage".
I have had a HTC One X for 7 months and have loved it. I was able to connect my USB cable to my windows laptop and be able to select mass storage, but that option isn't available any more.
When I connect my USB cable to my laptop now all I get is 1) USB Connected which when you tap on it all its got is wi-fi hotspot etc..
Okay, so earlier today I tried plugging my phone into my computer because I wanted to place some music on my phone, but when I plugged it in, I never got the option to turn on USB Mass Storage. I tried unchecking and rechecking the box in the settings > SD card & phone storage part of my phone.
Hello guys! I'm running Ultimate JB rom since v4 and since then I can't connect my phone USB in MTP mode. I tried many things like USB mode switcher from market, tried running manually script: setprop persist.sys.usb.config mtp,adb - but no success... It just connects in Mass Storage mode. After reboot it just goes in Mass Storage mode again!
So I've setup chargers at multiple places in my home, in both cars and at work. I noticed differences in charge levels and charging times between these and was trying to rectify those with problems. Did a bit of reading and this is what I understood.
High power chargers(2.0 A or even 1.0 A) will charge the device faster.
Micro USB cables can be data/charge cables or charge only cables.
