YC-backed ZenPayroll, the startup that offers an easy to use, cloud-based payroll application, has released its API, which allows third-party software providers to integrate data from their offerings into the payroll app.
ZenPayroll, which has a list of all-star investors, is disrupting a space that incumbents like ADP and Paychex have dominated for some time.
Cloud Sherpas has raised $40 million and made its eighth acquisition to expand its cloud brokerage service.
The funding, lead by Greenspring Associates, brings Cloud Sherpas’ total to $62.6 million. Existing investors Columbia Capital and Delta-V Capital joined in the new round.

HP has taken the wraps off ifs new G-cloud service which will operate on locally based servers and be aimed squarely at government clients. The service will start operating based on 300-400 virtual machines operated out of a Sydney based data centre, but HP claims it could be quickly scaled into the thousands if demand takes off.
