Since the first day I got my phone my stock browser has talked. It's says "loading page" and "page loaded" and tells you when you press on anything. I don't have any of the talk back stuff on or any of the gesture stuff. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it. I have been using chrome in the mean time. Thanks in advance!
I am having a problem connecting with the wifi at work, because in order to connect to it, it should automatically bring up a page on your browser where you have to click "accept." It worked when I got it for Christmas, but somehow now the first page that comes up when I open my browser is "about:blank"-- blank page, meaning I can't connect to wifi.
I've always been a fan of Maxthon Browser but it was never my #1 because it wasn't "quite there". Well it looks like is now "there".
The list of all the things this browser does well is too long to go into here. But suffice it to say it is VERY fast, looks gorgeous and does an amazing job of organizing bookmarks and syncing them with the cloud.
After I log in, I notice lately that firefox shows any LQ page I'm on as loading until I deliberately stop it from loading in the address bar. Perhaps this is a bug in firefox, but it's strange and a bit disconcerting that the page is never seen as completely loaded by the browser.
Also, I'm having an interesting time try to log it lately as well.
I am developing an Android app and I had to put in my form a WebBrowser component. Its url is a php page I made that has to load about 300 rows of a MySQL database. Since my phone's connection is not very fast, I see the white page for 3/4 seconds.
So I thought I could add a Label below that indicates something like Loading the page...
I have a WebView running a page containing a socket.io client that connects to a remote node.js server. The problem is that because websockets are not supported in the Android webview (they are in the Android Chrome browser), it falls back to xhr-polling.
I have an onProgressChanged listener for the WebChromeClient, but the xhr-polling keeps the page continuously loading.
