Hello all,
Today I discovered that my trusty OmniKey 4321 smart card reader (and hence the card inserted into it) can not be seen by my system (fully updated Karmic).
Turns out the PCSCD is not loading anymore at startup. I then dive right into /var/log to find the following in syslog:

Hi all,
I have a problem with OpenSC while trying to use cardreader OMNIKEY CardMan 6121.
I've installed drivers from manufacturer website (ifdokccid_lnx_x64-3.5.1.tar.gz).
After that I run opensc-tool and everything seems to be OK.
But pkcs11-tool gives me a "Segmentation fault" error.
I have got a chipcard reader from Reiner SCT (pinpad) which was working with fc17.
Now in fc18 the driver is not working.
I compiled pcsc-cyberjack-3.99.5final.SP03 with unistd patch on my system.
lsusb shows the card reader:
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0c4b:0300 Reiner SCT Kartensysteme GmbH cyberJack
pinpad(a)
But pcscd seems to have have problems with it:
root@bat ~]# pcscd -f -d -a

Hi guys!
I appear to have an issue with a broken package. I'm using 12.04 LTS on an MSI netbook and every time I install a new package I get this error:
Setting up isc-dhcp-server (4.1.ESV-R4-0ubuntu5.2) ...

invoke-rc.d: initscript isc-dhcp-server, action "start" failed.
I recently performed a clean install of Fedora 12 on my Sager 8890.
I backed up my /home dir beforehand using rsync without any problems to an external 320G USB drive.
With F12 installed, I proceeded to restore my /home dir using rsync again.
The script works fine--it's been tested through previous installs without issue.
The symptom:
