Overwriting CRAMFS image while it is mounted

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Dear all, I am on a ARM9-based embedded linux system (kernel 2.6.22). My application is stored as a CRAMFS image on a NOR-flash partition. During system bootup this image get's mounted with the help of the loopback device and after that the application get's started. Now I would like to be able to update the application during runtime. Is it generally safe to overwrite the CRAMFS-image while it is mounted? Best regards and thanks for help, Markus (HowTos)
