I recently posted about battery draining in a few hours after installing CM11. I was wrong. The shutdown was caused by overheating and not by a flat battery. I have now tried both the original samsung battery and a hi-power battery and swapped between the two.
I'm worried that because Sony made the Z3 smaller and thinner than the Z2 while overclocking the processor, it will run into heat problems quickly.
There's already a huge issue with Z2 recording in 4k as users have complained about overheating issues.

Has anyone experienced overheating using this phone? As you know I hadn't had my phone activated for a week or so, and never had an issue with the phone overheating, although I didn't use it like I do now that it's activated. And I can just barely use it to maybe browse the web or send a couple texts and the battery temperature will report 98 and it's even got up to 107 yesterday.

Issue 40334 on Google
I used a program called "CoreParkingManager" and by default it was set to 5%. I wanted to try it out, and set it to 80% and it actually improved my FPS in games, but the CPU was overheating, so I was changing it back to 5% after I stop playing.
I have noticed that my CPU started overheating even when I don't play games, even though I have set it to 5%, it uses more power than it used before.
I have the Nexus 5 and I have problem of overheating.
I used a lot of roms (SlimKat, Official 4.4.4 with ART & Dalvik, Android L, etc.) and a lot of kernels (franco, x elemental, etc)
None of kernels nor roms fixed the overheating problem
I used CPU-Z to see the temp of my phone. It was 44C. I used the phone only for internet (10mins).
