I have Ubuntu 12.04 and have been using Google Chrome successfully
for months. It works faster on my computer than Firefox or Chromium
and Flash-player doesn't crash with Chrome.
Yesterday after installing updates from Update Manager, the Chrome
browser could not be opened.
