a newbie network administrator here...
I have a PC, I want to use it as transparent proxy server
and also running one virtual machine as MySQL server.
I'm using 3 network cards:

eth1 is used as gateway to share internet connection to my network (IP 192.168.1.1)
Can I use eth2 (192.168.1.2) as bridged NIC to my virtual mach
I am currently trying to set up heartbeat/pacemaker on (2) 10.04.4 vm's in VirtualBox. Neither are running apache or anything special, just base installs at the moment. eth2 is set up as a static ip on both machines with VB network adapter set to bridged.
I have a server with Zentyal 3.03 (Ubuntu 12.04) LTS. It has 3 network devices:
eth0 - dhcp fast internet (I pay for it)
eth1 - static slow internet (it's free for the school)
eth2 - LAN
I can reach the server with SSH, but I can't reach a LAN server from outside.
Just installed Ubuntu 10.4 LTS server.
Installer recognised my three NICs, two of which are cabled, and when I pointed it at the right one it received an address from DHCP and was able to connect to the Internet to complete the installation.
Now the OS loads and presents me with one ethernet interface, eth2, which is connected. The other two have disappeared.
Hi all,
I have the following issue:
Server123 with 3x NICs:
eth0 - mgmt
eth1 - Router
eth2 - Wireless AP
br666 - Bridge eth1 eth2
I'm trying to bridge eth1 with eth2 with no IPs...The intention is to break the link between Router <---> Wireless AP, so Router is plugged in to eth1 and Wireless AP to eth2.
Purpose - real-time in-line IDS monitoring installed on the Server123
O
Hello.
I use Ubuntu, and I have many interfaces.
I am running Debian squeeze in a virtual machine (VirtualBox).
