I am building a mini-itx system for my home entertainment center and am looking for a MOBO that is compatible with Linux in general and Ubuntu in particular. I was focusing on a new asus board that came out but Asus' poor customer and Linux support has caused me to step back and evaluate my choices. I can go with the Windows Media OS but prefer Linux instead.
So T_Ski is selling a combo deal with a 3770k with this mobo Intel DZ77GA-70K http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813121605 ... The reviews look pretty bad... I want the combo really badly but is it worth it with that mobo? How's Intel's RMA? I need comments & concerns. Gonna be SLI'ng eventually, maybe OC'ng
As the title states, I am looking for a motherboard/CPU combo. I would prefer for the CPU to be an Ivy Bridge i7 (so 3770K, ideally) but I will entertain other offers if the price is right. For the motherboard, I am looking for Z77 chipset, and preferably something fairly high-end.
Intel i5-4670K, Asus Maximus VI Hero Mobo Combo....................$380 Priority Mailed.
Got these just recently. Opened for a build I'm no longer doing. I installed the cpu on the the mobo but never put a heatsink on it or powered up. The mobo accessories are unopened except the I/O plate.
