Hi, I've been using Linux, mostly Fedora, for a long enough time. My first version was Fedora 9, but before that, I was a Ubuntu user. I switched to Fedora and never went back. One thing that haunts me horribly is that (now it seems this has reduced to a minority) many Linux users are very unfriendly with a selfish and uncomfortable unfunnjy-joke-like disposition, and not just towards newbies.
So I thought I would talk about the battery life between JB and ICS. Right now, it seems I am getting less battery life with JB. Anyone else feeling the same way?
I can't get 2 hours of screen time since JB, I was 4+ with ICS, doing the same things daily. Or is it just me?
On Monday Apple released Mac OS X update 10.6.3. This monster update weighed in at up to 719MB (depending on current configuration) and patched a whopping 92 vulnerabilities, some third of which were rated as critical. Is it time for Apple to adopt a "Patch Tuesday" for the Mac OS in order to drip-feed patches to users and plug up vulnerabilities in a more timely fashion?
I have been working with computers since I was 5 years old (now 24) and have always been entranced with Windows and all that it had to offer. Over the past 7 years I have been working as an IT tech and have slowly lost my faith in windows as a whole.
As this Apple vs. Samsung lawsuit makes its rounds, we sure have been treated by numerous leaked documents from the court battle on a daily basis. This most recent document has Apple putting together a percentage graph showing why consumers considering an iPhone went with Android instead.
I've been using the GNU/Linux system for a long time. Since 2002 started with Redhat. It was on a duel-boot set up. I used XP for gaming and Linux for everything else. I was tired of the Licence and all the other BS Mircosoft was giving me, so I left and I've been Windows free for 2 years. I don't remember when I found out about #!, but when I installed in on my netbook a year ago.
Next week, Apple is expected to announce a new iPhone complete with a new dock connector, finally putting to bed the 30-pin design that’s been in use since time immemorial (so long as you can’t remember past nine years ago, like me).
Hi all,
I have been running Ubuntu for a few months now (dual boot with Win 7), and I must say that the whole Linux experience is getting better all the time. I have run Linux (Sabayon, Ubuntu, DSL, Puppy), for a few years, but only really as an educational experience for me. Now though, for the first time (MS Office excepted), Linux is something I feel I can use on a daily basis.
Dear All,
We are running a non-profitable organization and having more than 25 computer users at head office, using windows 7.
I have been assigned a task to create a server where all the internet access comes from the main server to users along with file sharing (Where employee can save and retrieve data, word/excel files on daily basis), this is usually can be done through the ISA server, bu
