http://www.ubuntuvibes.com – Orion GTK3 theme by Satya is probably the best light theme having proper support for Unity. The theme has been updated recently bringing even better integration. New changes include rewrite of mutter and metacity themes to fix roundness and border issues, fix for text color in system settings, fixes to fallback mode panel and removal of  pixbuf engine dependency. Elementary Dark GTK3 theme has been updated for Ubuntu 12.04 and Gnome 3.4.

Made by Satya, the theme is inspired by default Elementary OS theme but it comes as a darker variant.

He has also released a new Faience GTK theme and its looks absolutely beautiful with Ubuntu 12.10 (supports both Gnome Shell and Unity).

The Faience Gnome Shell theme has also been updated to work with Gnome 3.6.

Half-left has designed yet another great theme for Gnome Shell. His latest theme is based on the look of Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin and it looks really beautiful.

Instructions

Use User Theme Extension and Gnome Tweak Tool to switch Gnome Shell themes. Gnome Tweak Tool can be installed from Ubuntu Software Center.

Extremely slow machine 3 years 20 weeks ago

Hello,

I run F12. Since some days my laptop has become very sluggish. In Mozilla, switching between the tabs takes like seconds instead of fraction of a second. Also minimizing and mximizing windows takes long. Switching between the windows too takes long. Now I can't see the cursor while typing this post.
