OptiComm's Tasmanian NBN network ops centre opens - UPDATED

The Tasmanian ICT Centre has secured an additional $50m in funding over the next five years from the Tasmanian and Federal Governments and the CSIRO and will host a node for the recently established Australian Centre for Broadband Innovation.

Electricity and gas provider Aurora has been chosen to provide the Tasmanian Government with a connection to the National Broadband Network (NBN) and will be responsible for the provision and support of network facilities.
