Since I upgraded to opensuse 11.2 (kernel 2.6.31) I have not been able to connect anymore to our VPN using openswan/xl2tpd.
Searching the net for that, I saw that other distros with kernel 2.6.31 (eg. Ubuntu 9.10, fedora 12) also have had similar problems.
I tried to use openswan 2.6.24rc3 (I compiled OK), but it still does not work.
I am very new in Ubuntu and openswan. I have two virtual machines with installed Ubuntu 10.4 on a computer. i have also checked to see i the eth0 is bridge or not (it is not part of bridge). I want to make a tunnel between these two virtual machines.
I cannot successfully login using Windows L2tp client behind cisco 1841 nat into my Openswan natted itself by a cisco asa on public internet.
If I try to connect they on the same subnet or on just routed subnets I've got no issue.
Once I put the Openswan Server behind a Nat I've got this issue.
I want to set up host to host IPSec connection between two host using openswan.
I have Ubuntu on host machine and In virtualbox I installed another Ubuntu.
I want to set up IPSec connection between these two host.I have installed openswan in both ubuntu..
So please guide me how to proceed ?
I have installed Openswan and configured IPSec and works perfect, but for some unknown reasons it stop working. I see that the tunnels are up and established. The route to the destination are added. Everything by the book seems to be ok. But somehow when i start to ping the other side ( private ip ) the packet for that tunnel trying to go out from the interface that have public ip.
