http://forums.opensuse.org – The banner on this site for Happy Holidays is IMO freaky good. I really like the father xmas lizard on the surf board. Could we have this banner with "Happy Xmas with Opensuse"? In this case I would like to send it instead of a signature in the lower part of my xmas emails (however if this is possible, no clue if/how you can do it - using Kmail 1.9) :) Anyway congrats. This banner is a total eye candy! (Distributions)

Our Red Hat Linux machines, unlike Solaris, do not have the banner command. I am not the SA for these machines and the SA refuses to put in banner. Not sure what is his main objection to it, but he just flatly say no, end of story.

I am using banner as a quick way of identifying the progress run of the script.

Does anyone know of any ksh or Perl script that I can use in place of banner?

Hello Boys and Girls, Seasons Greetings to you all.. Bought 2 Nexus 7's for my kids in November as a Xmas gift. Purchased them through the UK Play store and paid about £320's worth of hard earned money. Their old ipods were on their last legs and I thought buying the 2 N7 tablets was a better route to go down and you just seemed to get more for your money. Everything was fine until Xmas eve.

I have a mailserver with opportunistic TLS enabled (Postfix smtpd_tls_security_level = may), however the SMTP banner is being masked by SMTP fixup on our FWSM. Before I disable this masking, is the SMTP banner required for other mailservers configured for opportunistic TLS to negotiate a TLS session for incoming mail?
