Linux Feed Reader, aka "Liferea," is part of a highly specialized category of apps. It is an aggregator for online news feeds, weblogs and podcasts. As such, it provides a tool for pulling into one spot an eclectic collection of your newsfeed content so you do not have to go to each separate source. The Liferea project puts its focus on simple installation and simple usage.
Today Facebook addressed the controversy surrounding the news feed and a reduction in reach for some Pages. It outlined the four main factors that determine if a post shows up in the news feed, and insisted Page reach didn’t decrease overall.

I have just recieved my new HTC one and in general im very pleased with the phone, I moved up from a desire HD.
The one question I have is in regards to the HTC blinkfeed.
Thunderbird has many interesting features. Thunderbird not only as mail client, this software also can be used as blog and news feed reader.
Many of you are probably presented with the same problem when logging into Facebook. The first thing that you see is your News Feed, with tons of content from your friends and pages that you like.

How can I change the settings so that when I pull down notifications bar it won't show me content of emails or text messages? I still want them there, but only as a simple list of 1-line-per-item, as it used to be.
I know google made this feature to put reply etc buttons in there, but I would really like the notifications be as they used to.

At a big press event on Thursday, Facebook plans to launch new ways to filter the news feed. These include a Photos feed of Facebook and Instagram photos, as well as a revamped Music feed of what friends are listening to, concerts, and new albums, according to multiple sources both within and close to Facebook.
