I want to configure opensuse 11.2 as openldap server. later I want to add both xp as well as windows 7 as its clients. What are the detail steps for this. On opensuse 10.3 I configured above said setup, however there is a problem with windows7 which is not getting added to it. So I decided to upgrade opensuse 10.3 to 11.2 and then later thinking of reconfiguring the whole setup again.
I was using AD on Windows Server 2003 SBS for domain clients with Windows XP Pro installed.
Is possible configure DNS server and openLDAP server in Linux installed on that machine so I have something like AD. I want next scenario:
User on Win XP login into domain (configured on that Linux, with LDAP credentials) and that user's home dir apears in /home on server.
I just installed Arch for the first time on my raspberry pi. I followed the install guide for openLDAP on the wiki but noticed that a few extra steps were necessary. After:# cp /etc/openldap/DB_CONFIG.example /var/lib/openldap/openldap-data/DB_CONFIG
# chown ldap:ldap /var/lib/openldap/openldap-data/DB_CONFIGI had to run:chown ldap:ldap /etc/openldap
chown ldap:ldap /run/o
I trying a long time that, but not successfull. I need set OpenLDAP proxy for two AD on different domains (domain1.cz and domain2.cz). I create CentOS server in domain1 with OpenLDAP and I can bind to both AD by ldapsearch.
