Hi all... i've been trying to format/re-format a dvd-ram disc in OS11.2. can someone help me out? i tried using mkfs -t ext4 /dev/dvdrw.... this works, the disc is erased and ext4 is created on the disc, however the disc is read only :( am i doing something wrong. secondly, once a disc has a label set, is there a way to rename that disc to anything
I am using CrossOver 12.5.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. It works fine for software that is not disc dependent after installation, but not for disc dependent software. I installed Halo on crossover and it installed with out problems, but when I go to play it CrossOver tells me that I need to insert the Halo disc into my disc drive (which it already is).
I looked this up beforehand, and discovered data from two years ago. The Gentoo disc was not equipped with WPA support. Has this changed, and if so, how do I connect to a WPA network? If there isn't a way in the Gentoo disc, is there another Gentoo-based disc that has Speakup support for software speech that I can use?
So i had copied my windows 7 files from an installation disc to a flash disk which i had made bootable to format a mini laptop with no DVD drive, then by mistake broke the installation disc but still have the files in the flash disc, i want to burn them into another disk.
I wanted to copy a disc but Fedora 20 apparently lacks the program it associates with an *.iso file: Disk Image Writer. I had a problem trying to use openSuse 13.2 Linux with K3b, but I can't explain why. I had to reboot into Porteus 1.1 Linux (from a live CD and mounted into RAM) and run K3b. F20 help doesn't acknowledge that disc-to-disc copying is possible. Did I miss something?
