I'm in the process of updating a computer from openSUSE 10.3 to 11.2 KDE4. I did a clean install of 11.2, but kept the /home partition from 10.3. I now have a variety of problems in 11.2, but I will focus on just one here: software management/online update.
1.- sorry if my english is too bad but my native lenguage is spanish(chile)
2.- i need help to resolve this problem, i can't update opensuse 11.2, becouse show me a download error...i tried do it manually but still give me that error.
i opened a terminal and they show me this,
#zypper up
I need to install Yum, but does not connect to the server.

After I installed opensuse from DVD, I wanted to add KDE and Mozilla repos with priorities like this:

Hmmm - I just checked my repository list to make sure I was keeping extra repositories out of the regular lineup ("enabled"). I noticed something - somehow I have two, and sometimes 3, of what seem to be the same repository - with slight differentiation in the URL.
Example: the OSS repository. Exists as -
Hello all. Quickly; Coming from Fedora, I am new to openSUSE and I am currently trying out 11.2. So far so good until this morning when I encountered this error message.
"PackageKit Error repo-not-available: File '/content' not found on medium 'http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/11.2:/NonFree/standard/' "
New install of 11.2 32 bit. Installation went fine, but when I got to update or install new packages, I get this error:

i have just installed OpenSUSE 11.3, and tried to add software repositories and do online update, but it always failed because of this problem :
File '/repodata/repomd.xml' not found on medium 'http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.3/repo/oss/'
I am using Yast on OpenSuse 12.1.
