I I've read that certain OEMs are making it difficult to put other OSs on their laptops and those new laptops with Win 8 and UEFI may still have driver issues with different linux distros.
Just what the hell is Microsoft doing making Windows free for small tablets and smartphones? Buying market share. By cutting the cost of Windows for smartphones, Microsoft is sweetening its pitch towards OEMs, providing new incentives to adopt its mobile platform.
