The CSIRO has debuted, at the CeBit show in Sydney, a smart metering system that it says can be installed at low cost and enable residential and small business users to remotely control their electricity usage via a web interface.
Ive had the S3 for a month or so now and really enjoyed it but a couple of days ago the spot metering feature in the camera stopped working.
When I used to take a picture before and touch any paqrt of the screen, the metering would be adjusted to that spot (thus 'spot' metering!).
Now, even though 'Spot Metering' is selected from the menu, touching the screen has no effect at all.
Can anyone sugg
It seems the metering on camcorder is preset to matrix and can't be changed. I often find it too bright and doesn't always adjust properly unless I zoom right in. How can I make the metering centre-weighted on camcorder? Is there an app or mod to make it possible?
I had 12.04 installed on my HDD alongside Windows 7. My HDD was reporting bad sectors (after I ran the self-test for SMART in Disk Utility) and an imminent failure so as a last throw of the die, I formatted the entire HDD and installed Ubuntu 13.04. But apparently the Disk Utility was integrated(?) to Disk Image Mounter.
I have 12.04 32bit installed on my hard drive. Ubuntu is the only OS. I recently installed it after getting rid of Windows 7. When I run Disk Utility under SMART Status it says "disk has a few bad sectors", so I clicked on View SMART data and run self tests.
I got two 2TB seagate disks that show SMART error on bootup. I ran the seagate disk utility check and it passed the full test. But the SMART error says both drive have exceeded 70C in temperature so SMART has been tripped. I want to recycle them for old hardware as they are out of warranty.
