nvidia ion - 304xx needed?

The latest nvidia up in testing (310-19) has dropped support for cards 7xxx and below.  To keep supplying a non-free driver for those cards, the last used nvidia that supported those is now packaged as nvidia-304xx.Anyone on those kind of older cards, please test this version (you'll see a pretty clear warning in the nvidia update):sudo pacman -Syu sudo pacman -S nvidia-304xxThis should

we provide nvidia-173xx .nvidia-304xx and latest nvidia.  You can try to install nvidia-304xx and nvidia-304xx-utils. which is the last update to the 2xx branch.

Hi Guys,Today i changed my old nvidia card against and new Radeon card.First i uninstalled the nvidia driver sudo pacman -Rdd nvidiasudo pacman -Rdd nvidia-utilsThan i changed the card and reboot.After reboot i only get the command line.

@onceYou are either not fully updated, since kernel 3.6.6 is now in the repos, or you are using linux-lts. I think a package is not (yet?) available for lts.

Ok. I simply rebooted and was without nvidia drivers (linux, acpi_call etc was the right version) so pacman -S nvidia (and pacman -Rns dkms-nvidia) and everything is right now.Thank you!

Hello, I have recently purchased a laptop that supports nvidia 3d vision and has the card GeForce 460M. I want to have the 3D vision running on Ubuntu (I am using 11.04 beta 2)

I have found out that 3d vision is not supported in linux for GeForce cards and only supported for the Quad series.

Any ideas on what modifications would be required to support 3d on GeForce in Ubuntu?
