http://askubuntu.com – Today I installed ubuntu 12.10 but I noticed some graphical glitches and I decided to install the appropriate graphic driver. (nvidia 520m) I followed this tutorial http://www.noobslab.com/2012/10/install-latest-nvidia-drivers-in-ubuntu.... But now when I boot my laptop I can only see the desktop wallpaper, no top bar or the left bar are visible. And the mouse pointer constantly flashes around. If I right click and go to appearance I see that the resolution is "Ubuntu 2560x1600", which is way to high. If I go to "displays" I only get the option 1024x768 (4:3) but I have a 16:9 display. Does anyone has working deb drivers for nvidia cards for 12.10 from 295.xx family? I literally searched whole internet by now.

N00bslab has apparantly created debs http://www.noobslab.com/2012/06/nvid...ction-for.html but they need xorg-video-abi which is not in 12.10 repo.

Ideas?

I have installed ubuntu on my laptop, but i am having problems with the hdmi port. It doesnt seem to exist.
