Just read this seriously obsessive post about customising keyboards and while I'm not going to do everything there, there are a couple of ideas I'd like to nick. In particular he has set up the Caps Lock key so that:
when pressed and released alone, it is mapped to Esc
when pressed and held, and a second key is pressed, it is mapped to Ctrl
Sorry, I am new to android. When I setup lock screen and turn off, the screen does not have the lock screen I setup when I turn it back on. It still show the swipe screen, no pin lock or password screen. Now if i power off and reboot then it show up. Also if I set up a type of pass lock then I can't use the lock widget anymore. It just won't show when I scroll right or left.
Hello everyone, I hope you can help me with this issue. I've had my S3 for over a year and I have the lock screen configured to use the pattern lock screen. Lately I noticed that the default lock screen (with Clock and lock at the bottom of the screen) appears and after swiping the lock, the pattern lock screen appears. Does anyone know how can I disable the default lock screen??
I have a qPad MK-85 mechanical keyboard, and I can't seem to get the LED status indicators for the lock keys to work. The CAPS and NUM lock function still works, but I don't have any indication whether they'r'e on or not.It only seems to be under gnome I have this problem, because they're working just fine in grub, windows, and tty2-6.
I want to set the caps lock key working as a modifier (modkey) and layout switcher at the same time.
I want Caps Lock to act as a modkey in awesome in different hotkey combinations, for example, Caps Lock + Enter opens terminal and so on.
When Caps Lock is pressed as a single key, it should act as a layout switcher on its release (by calling function that executes setxkbmap in rc.lua config).
Prologue: This was something I saw first on Notebooks/Laptops! Face lock and Voice lock, not only its too trendy but also too secure to rely on. Well Android's new version are been loaded with this along with PIN lock, Password lock and even Pattern lock which were in previous versions too.
