how do i synchronize the caps lock numlock and scroll lock status lights of two keyboards one being USB and one being laptops keyboard. Like when i press the caps button on on keyboard both that and the other keyboard's caps lock light turns on and same with num lock and scroll lock
Looking for some help, I have just got a new keyboard and plugged it in, everything works ok except for the arrow keys / num lock, I will explain:
num lock: ON
Arrow keys do not work (the screen I am on flashes but the cursor does not move)
num lock: OFF
Arrow keys work, but then the number pad does not.
Just read this seriously obsessive post about customising keyboards and while I'm not going to do everything there, there are a couple of ideas I'd like to nick. In particular he has set up the Caps Lock key so that:
when pressed and released alone, it is mapped to Esc
when pressed and held, and a second key is pressed, it is mapped to Ctrl
I have bought an USB number pad and it's working as expected. Anyway, to use number keys, I need num lock on, and if I turn it on, my keyboard numpad sends numbers instead of the letters... How to have letter keys with num pad on?
If that matters, I'm on an Asus eee PC 900 and using the lastest Linux Mint Debian Edition.
