I've setup a handful of CentOS 5.6 servers with Oracle 11gR2 and not run into this particular problem, but I have hit a wall with CentOS 6.3 and auto-starting Oracle. Not sure if this is related to the newer release of CentOS or me having a PEBKAC moment, but I need a hand.
I've got a working install of Oracle 11gR2 on CentOS 6.3. It runs and is functional.

I am working on building some new CentOs 6 servers and creating documentation for the installation of said servers. Hi everybody!
I have a strange problem since the last 10 days. I have configurated Squid in two different server. One (squid 2.6 version) over Fedora Core 7 and the another (squid 2.5 version) over CentOS. Both authenticate people over NCSA authentication. I have installed then since 1 year.
so i want to monitor a variety of things on hundreds of servers. the old process was to have an agent running on each one of these servers.
but now i'm looking to see if its possible to have agentless monitoring. the only other straight forward option other than having an agent on the hosts, is to use ssh.

Problems are:
