Netflix’s third-quarter earnings report just came out, with the company beating analyst expectations on higher-than-expected subscriber numbers. For the third quarter, Netflix reported earnings of 52 cents per share on revenues of $1.1 billion. That compared to earnings of 13 cents per share on sales of $905 million in the year-ago quarter.
IBM just released its Q3 2012 financials. Big Blue’s GAAP earnings came in at $3.8 billion, up 3% from the last quarter. Non-GAAP earnings were $4.2 billion. Overall, the company reported revenue of $24.7 billion, down from $25.8 billion in Q2.
Ahead of the earnings release, most analyst expected that Big Blue would report robust earnings.
Netflix just released its second-quarter earnings report, missing analyst expectations with lower-than-expected subscriber numbers. For the second quarter, Netflix reported earnings of 49 cents per share on revenues of $1.07 billion. That compared to earnings of 11 cents per share on sales of $889 million in the year-ago quarter.
HTC today officially released its financials for Q3, and the news continues to be bad for the Taiwanese smartphone maker: the company reported revenues of 70.2 billion Taiwan dollars ($2.4 billion), down 23% from last quarter’s $3 billion and 48% compared to the same quarter last year.
Zillow today announced its Q4 2013 earnings. The company booked $58.3 million in revenue (up 70% year-over-year) for a GAAP earnings per share of $0.07 and non-GAAP EPS of $0.20. Net income was $2.7 million.
In the year-ago quarter, Zillow reported earnings of $34.3 million and net income of $500K.
Today after the bell Microsoft will report its fiscal third quarter, calendar first quarter financial results. Analysts are expecting that the company will report $20.39 billion in revenue, and earnings per share of $0.63.
